A big thank you to all our users who have been providing feedback on the new uploader. We’ve already pushed 68 enhancements to the uploader over the past two weeks based on customer input.

Major Live Updates
  • Major Upload Speed Upgrade – Effective today, all users have access to a major upgrade in our upload architecture. In beta testing last week live users were clocking upload speed improvements up to 5X!
  • Order Note Shortcut – We’ve added an Order Note shortcut to the main uploader interface based on user input.
  • Existing Properties – You now have the option to turn off searching existing properties when placing a photo editing order to speed up your workflow in Step 1.
Enhancements Coming Soon
  • Custom Shortcuts – A new feature allowing you to add your most used Editing Options to your uploader without having to go to the Editing Options sidebar.
  • Add-On Updates – This feature will allow you to select which add-ons you want via the dropzones and automatically apply them. Similar to auto-grouping in the legacy uploader.

Please keep the feedback coming! All input, pain points, or praise is welcome and will help inform our team as we rapidly iterate to improve the new uploader workflow.

Important Updates Coming to Virtual Staging

Today, we have two big changes to our virtual staging services. First, a price reduction on our AI Virtual Staging service, and second, the retirement of our Pro Virtual Staging service.

AI Virtual Staging

New Lower AI Virtual Staging Price

Effective March 1st, the price for AI virtual staging will drop from 5C to 3C. Each AI VS image comes with three initial renders and a limited number of regenerations.

Best of all… you get renders back in just a few minutes. If you haven’t tried AI virtual staging lately, now is a great time to give it a test. The tech has progressed significantly in a short time, and we think you will like what you see.

Discontinuation of Pro Virtual Staging

After nearly seven years, today we are sad to announce the retirement of our Pro Virtual Staging service.

Over the past two years, we’ve seen the volume of virtual staging orders shift in a big way to our AI service.

While we know this will be a disappointment for some of you, due to diminishing market demand and the very high cost of AutoCAD software, our pro virtual staging service will no longer be available in the system after February 26th, 2026 (final orders to be delivered on Friday, February 27th).

We thank all our customers for their support over the years and hope you give our AI Virtual Staging offering a try. We believe it will meet your expectations in most use cases.

2026 Product Roadmap Sneak Peek

It’s going to be a productive year here at PhotoUp. We have some big new features planned, with the latest uploader update being foundational to what’s coming next.

New Photo Editing Uploader

Here is a sneak peek at some of the big items on our roadmap for 2026:

  • Q1 – New Photo Editing Uploader – LIVE (with on-going enhancements)
  • Q2 – Human/AI Hybrid Editing – In Development
  • Q3 – Additional Photo Delivery Integrations – Planned
  • Q4 – Additional AI Models – Planned

Throughout the year, we’ll be working to roll out AI photo editing tools with a human-first approach. While AI is starting to become a going concern in our industry, it’s not yet (and may never be) perfect.

Our goal is simple: to provide you and your editors with the best available editing tools, and let you decide what works best for your business.

For some of you, AI might already be something you’re interested in. For others, you might want to keep a pro human editor forever.

And we think many photographers may prefer a hybrid approach, with your dedicated editors helping cull AI outputs, fixing images, and helping you deliver images to clients.

No matter what you choose, PhotoUp is committed to being the leading platform that powers your real estate photo editing. We look forward to entering this brave new world with you.

Sincere thanks for your partnership,
