Now that I’ve finished my side-by-side comparison, let’s take a more detailed look at their real estate photo editing services.

Post Processing House Overview

Post Processing House (PPH), based in Pula, Croatia, is an online photo editing company in business since 2016.  

Their website tells us that they have a small team of capable photo editors working with real estate photographers and sales professionals mostly from North America and Europe.

Additionally, Post Processing House offers:

• Video post-production services 
• Virtual staging
• 3D modeling
• And floor plan production

Photo Editing Pricing

Let’s now review Post Processing House’s pricing for real estate photo editing.

Unfortunately, pricing information isn’t available on their website. You need to first contact them before you can know what their services will cost. 

And it took them 3 days to get back to me. However, I did learn that they charge $1.50 per photo. 

That was all they said. No other pricing information, nothing about the cost of revisions, nothing about the cost of more complex editing services. 

Further, the editing work was done a few days ago, and I still haven’t been billed. I’ve downloaded my photos, including revisions, and still haven’t received an invoice or been told my final costs.

Having to contact them to learn incomplete pricing information is unprofessional, in my opinion. 

Ordering From PPH

Without knowing any pricing information or even turnaround times, you are instructed to contact the company, providing your name, email, and a brief note about your photo editing needs — and someone will get back to you.

So, I followed those instructions. I filled out the contact form, hit submit, and expected that I’d get an automated email response right away containing more information. 

However, I was wrong. 

Keep reading to see how this disaster of a customer support experience unfolded. 

1. Creating an Account

As I mentioned, Post Processing House requires that you contact them first before you can order services or learn about pricing. 

One of the fields in the contact form is for entering a link to your portfolio. Most real estate agents don’t have a portfolio, so this didn’t apply to me was slightly off-putting. I can understand that it’s another story for photographers though.

Further, this initial contact step is not for creating an account, and it isn’t automated — someone from Post Processing House has to get back in touch with you first. This is quite annoying and an unnecessary delay. 

Unfortunately, it gets worse.

3 Days Later…

So, I submitted the contact form. Here’s how things went (badly):

• I first reached out to Post Processing House to order photo editing on Sunday morning. I expected to receive an automated confirmation email thanking me for reaching out. 
• Hours passed and I never heard back or received a confirmation. Since it was Sunday, I figured I’d hear back on Monday.
• I still hadn’t heard back by noon Monday, so I filled out the contact form again and sent it.
• Monday at 9:00 pm and still no response. This was truly inconvenient and disturbing.

I checked my email on Tuesday morning and still nothing. 

Finding an Email in a Haystack

So, by noon, Tuesday, I decided to dig around on the site for any other contact information. This took several minutes. But I found a generic email for the company.

Remember, there’s no phone number or chat feature. 

Once I found it, I emailed Post Processing House (on Tuesday afternoon) saying I need some photos edited and that I wasn’t getting a response via the contact form. 

Unfortunately, our customer support saga continues:

• Tuesday evening rolled around and still no response from them. At this point, I assumed they must have gone out of business. 
• On Wednesday morning, I was just about to contact another service when I finally received an email from Post Processing House.
• It took them 3 entire days to get back to me.

In the email, they apologized that the contact form wasn’t working. I replied explaining I had photos to edit and I inquired about pricing. 

Sadly, our experience continues to get worse. 

2. Uploading Images

Uploading images wasn’t fun, either. 

I expected to receive an email from Post Processing House with a link for uploading the photos I needed edited. Instead, I received a response telling me to create my own Dropbox account and still no pricing information.

And here is where I ran into my next two problems: 

• First, I had to pay to create a Dropbox account that could handle my photo files. 
• Second, I had trouble syncing to Post Processing House’s account to share my files.

After a slow upload, and difficulty syncing, I finally sent them my images. 

Even more annoying, I still had to separately email them my editing instructions. 

In case you haven’t been counting, we are now on day 4 of this process and it’s taken several email exchanges just to give them the photos. 

However, now with the order placed, we turn in our review to look at the photo editing samples.

Photo Editing Examples

After all the waiting, I was finally able to ask Post Processing House for 24 HDR real estate photo exposures to be blended into 8 final photos.

Here are my other editing instructions:

• Window masking on all interior photos
• The cars to be removed from an exterior aerial shot 
• A small towel removed from a bathroom photo
• And sky replacement on all exterior shots 

Despite the ordering nightmare, the edited photos took less than 24 hours. And they looked great.

Further, all of my photo editing requests were followed. 

OK, now, let’s take a look at some of Post Processing House’s real estate photo editing results!

Example 1. HDR Blending & Sky Replacement

The HDR blending was well-done as was the sky replacement, so all good.

Example 2. Window Masking

My initial photos had too much glare from the windows — they performed the window masking nicely.

Example 3. Towel Removal

I had also asked them to remove the hand towel, and they did a fine job. 

Example 4. Car Removal

In this aerial shot, I asked Post Processing House to remove the cars and the photo turned out well, with all cars removed.

Nice job! Post Processing House’s photo editing work was very good.

Revisions

However, I needed two revisions, so let’s see how they came out next.

Revision 1. Removing a Storage Tank

In one exterior photo, I noticed an unsightly storage tank leaning against the house and asked for it to be removed.

Again, they did a good job with this!

Revision 2. Grass Greening

The photos were taken earlier in the season, so some of the grass hadn’t greened yet. I asked them to touch up the lawn, which they did well.

My revisions only took 3 hours from start to finish — very good!

Image Quality

Overall, the quality of Post Processing House’s real estate photo editing was excellent.

For example:

• The window masking was done well
• Also, the item removals were quite good
• And the sky replacement was excellent
• The revisions were also nicely done  

My instructions were followed, and the editing results were impressive. So, it’s safe to say that their editing quality makes up for the disastrously ordering process and customer service.

Post Processing House Support

Because of all the delays mentioned above, my overall customer support experience was quite poor. They lack communication options, too.

Post Processing House only offers:

• Website contact form
• And email

That’s it. 

And the site’s contact form wasn’t working for over three days and their email is buried on the site and not easy to find. 

Additional Services

For the last part of the review, let’s consider the advantage of working with a single service provider who can address all of my marketing needs.  

Photo editing services are common and somewhat basic, but I also need virtual staging and property websites, too, from time to time. 

Granted, Post Processing House did a great job editing my photos, but they don’t offer:

• Single property websites 
• Property flyers
• Or virtual house tours 

After all, one-stop shopping for my real estate marketing needs makes me more efficient and saves me time. 

That said, let’s move on and give a final, high-level review of our experience.

Overall, our experience was mixed. Yes, the photos turned out really well, and revisions were easy.

Also, the turnaround time, once they received the photos, was impressive.

But, given the poorly handled, drawn-out ordering process and lack of pricing information, I simply can’t recommend Post Processing House.
