If you happen to visit our Cebu office, you won’t fail to notice this cheery and bubbly lady doing rounds in the place. Sometimes, she sits quietly in front of her desk, working on her laptop and pouring over her notes. Other times, she’s talking to individuals in the team, encouraging them to perform to the best of their abilities.

Outside of the workplace, you will encounter her with a DSLR hanging around her neck. You can typically find her taking amazing photos of waterfalls, mountains, and landscapes!

This is Hannah, the general manager and one of the key leaders at PhotoUp. She is a true believer in the incredible power of creativity, and she helps PhotoUp team members discover the potential that lies within them. Let’s get to know more about this creative and passionate woman.

1. Can you tell us more about yourself? Who is Hannah?

I’m an amateur photographer who has a fiery passion for the outdoors. You can consider me a corporate gal, but I’m essentially a visual artist.

2. What is your role in PhotoUp? Can you explain what you do exactly?

I am the company’s general manager. Currently, I lead a team of young creative leaders whose job is to enhance real estate photos submitted by photographers all around the world. Administratively, I ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the office.

3. You have a leadership position in PhotoUp. What is it like to lead creative people?

It is very inspiring for being able to work with such creative individuals. We get to share out-of-the-box ideas and amazing experiences. We also get to collaborate on a lot of other projects and tasks including Community Impact Projects and Employee Development Programs. We inspire one another, and we flourish personally and professionally together.

4. Tell us one unforgettable experience in PhotoUp that made an impact, whether positive or negative, on your personal/professional life.

As one of the pioneering members of PhotoUp, my most memorable experience was the company’s inception. It was way back when the PhotoUp office was still in the confines of a private house. I had a conversation with one of my mentors Chris Palmer. It was when he shared with me the mission and the vision of the company.

Chris’s goal of helping young, talented, and skilled people utilize their talents so they can help society, resonated with what I personally believe in.

Business For Good

Making A Positive Impact

We seek to put people, planet, profit, and purpose on equal footing.

5. Does your experience working in Photoup improved your personal life? If so, how?

Yes, I get to learn something new every day, whether it be on the creative side or the business side. And we get to employ awesome people who are like family, instead of just co-workers.

6. You love photography. How does working at PhotoUp enhance your passion?

I love the fact that my work is related to my passion. I get to know more about the technicalities of photography and, at the same time, get to understand the business side of things as well. Also, it is always fun to work with a team that has the same passion for the arts as I do.

7. What advice can you give to people who want to venture out into creative industries?

Never stop learning and never stop dreaming. Always have the courage and determination to stick to your ambition and the things that you truly enjoy doing. These are the keys that make your dream a reality.

Go, Hannah! We are very happy to have you as a creative and thoughtful leader. Thank you for your dedication to Photoup and its mission, which is to help grow businesses and foster young, creative leaders in the Philippines.
